Let’s explore the concept of “ the erotic” and it’s relationship to data processing. Our bodies are ancient and original technology centers, and much like computers, process data in different ways. Black people, particularly in the Global West, have experienced histories of both joy and trauma that have informed how we self-program and process the world around us, even our own memories and desires. Many of us have carried and become so inundated with external data that it takes deep exploration to even source much of the information that we carry. The power to re-program, re-organize data, and ultimately process new information is always with us and can easily be powered and informed by our erotic selves. The erotic is a source of power that exists in all of us; it is the ability to be fully and deeply satisfied. How can we arrange the data we carry to live our most satisfied and pleasurable lives? We’ll talk about data types and structuring as it applies to programming then use those same concepts in analogy to our human databases and how we heal them
